18 years in education spanning from instruction to instructional coaching and instructional leadership. I've been fortunate to teach in the US and abroad in content areas of mathematics, AVID, andTheory of Knowledge. AP, IB, CCSS, CCR, PLC, Continuous Improvement, PDSA, and leading teams through standards implementation, understanding Smarter Balanced Item Specifications, Achievement Level Descriptors, and how to effectively measure student understanding. Student achievement is at the core of everything I do as an Educator and Educational Leader. We must be working to increase student achievement by leveraging Improvement Science and increasing educator capacity.

He has published over 250 books, chapters, and articles focused on visible learning, literacy, leadership, PLCs, school improvement, and more. Doug was elected into the Reading Hall of Fame in 2022.
