Privacy Policy
We respect educator and student privacy. This summary describes how Praxly handles data for K–12 use and aligns with common district expectations. Contact us via the contact form for a full copy of our current data practices or a written agreement (including DPA terms).
Information we handle
Praxly stores account details, organization and team membership, improvement cycle content (goals, actions, reflections, artifacts), and basic usage metadata needed to operate the service. We do not ingest SIS data or perform automated roster imports. Educators should enter only the minimum necessary student information for instructional purposes and keep sensitive records (IEPs, 504 plans, medical or discipline data) out of the platform.
How we use data
Data supports PDSA workflows, reminders, and visualizations over time. Optional, paid AI features generate summaries and suggestions using Google Gemini APIs. Prompts and workspace context are sent solely to generate requested outputs and are not used by Praxly for advertising or to train Praxly models. Google processes the data as an approved sub-processor under its Gemini API terms and does not use customer data to train Gemini models for other customers.
Your controls
Teams can update or delete cycle content at any time. Workspace admins manage membership and access. Schools retain control of their student data. Contact us through the contact form to request exports, corrections, or deletion where legally permitted. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and we delete customer data upon termination or written request subject to legal holds.
Questions
Praxly is designed to support FERPA-aligned use. When used by educational institutions under a written agreement, Praxly acts as a school official with a legitimate educational interest and processes student data only for that purpose. Schools and educators remain responsible for meeting their own policy and legal obligations. Reach us via the contact form for questions about privacy, security, accessibility, or data management.
Security
Praxly implements reasonable safeguards including authenticated access, role-based controls, and encryption in transit and at rest. We monitor for abuse and restrict access to production data to authorized personnel with a need to know.
Accessibility
We aim to provide an accessible experience and are iterating toward WCAG 2.1 AA–aligned patterns used by leading education platforms. If you encounter barriers, let us know through the contact form so we can prioritize fixes.
Data processing and deletion
We process customer data only to provide and improve the service requested by schools. Upon contract end or written request, we will delete or return customer data, subject to legal retention requirements and backup integrity windows.
