Terms

Terms of Use

These terms summarize how Praxly supports K–12 use. For a written agreement or DPA, contact us through the contact form.

Purpose

Praxly supports continuous improvement workflows (Plan, Do, Study, Act) for educators and school leaders. The service is designed for instructional planning, collaboration, and reflection—not for high-stakes student record storage.

Acceptable use

Use Praxly to manage improvement cycles, collaborate with teammates, and store related instructional artifacts. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected components, or upload unlawful content. Do not upload sensitive student records (e.g., IEPs, 504 plans, medical or discipline records). Enter only the minimum necessary student information needed for instruction and ensure it aligns with institutional policies and applicable law.

Data

Schools and users own the content they enter (goals, actions, reflections, artifacts). Praxly processes this data solely to provide and improve the service. Optional paid AI features use Google Gemini APIs as a sub-processor; prompts and context are used only to generate requested outputs and are not used by Praxly for advertising or to train Praxly models. Gemini API usage does not train models on customer data per Google’s published terms.

FERPA and school official role

When used by educational institutions under a written agreement, Praxly acts as a school official with a legitimate educational interest, using student data only for instructional and school operations purposes authorized by the institution. Praxly does not sell student data or use it for advertising or marketing.

Security and deletion

Praxly uses authenticated access, role-based controls, and encryption in transit and at rest. Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel with a need to know. Upon termination or written request, we will delete or return customer data, subject to legal retention and standard backup windows.
